Dumb question about how Julia and Max died.

They ended up having sex, right? Then their two bodies are just found floating around in the middle of their death room.

Here's the 'dumb' question.

How did they die? Was it because they were in the time speed room and time was sped up? If this was so, they probably died from either rapid aging or rapid starvation without even knowing it.

Like I said, I'm sure someone here can easily answer this question... but it was still bugging me and I want a definitive answer.

If this really is what happed to Julia and Max, this could also explain how Simon aged (that is, I'm ASSUMING he aged... with the white hair and all...) Simon might have just spent some time in there, but moved on and aged from the time he spent in the time speed room.

It's probably rapid aging AND rapid starvation

and the times in the hypercube all connect. simon survived by eating people and drinking their blood. It's just that those two times crosshaired into that room at that time.

Not an easy question to get a definitive answer to.
But, yes - you are probably correct in your assumptions.

There may be a lot of phenomena that we did not see - seems possible considering how little we know about the environment.
Maybe normal rooms with normal time speeds, can change suddenly, instead of just always being that way - maybe it fluctuates.

This is also the ground, that the Hypercube is much scarier then the other cubes. I like to take a quote from the movie: "The first one had rules"

I thought they left that room.

After they get in that room and Max explains how the rooms are at different time speeds, the next scene is Simon finding an "alternate" Jerry who's still alive and just woke up.

Then it goes to Kate and Sasha finding that alternate reality room where they're all sitting there dead.

Immediately after this scene it goes back to Max and Julia entering a new room. The camera view is from above.

So that would be they aren't still in the room where time is going really fast, they're in a new room.

....Unless entering another room actually just looped back on itself to trap them (much like the room does with Kate at the end when she's fighting Simon).... or this is just a terrible mistake and doesn't explain their death at all...

....OR when Kate find their dead bodies it's just an alternate reality. Remember Kate and Sasha DO find that room with ALL of them (even themselves) dead.... and that wasn't considered to be how they all died. It was just an alternate reality.

So maybe Max and Julia didn't die until the hypercube collapsed at the end?

Either that or they messed up big time with the script.

Julia was Julia but at least Max had some brains,he should have known to at least not have sex in that room,he even noticed the time shift thing.....but still he didn't take action.....at least not in the ''have sex and still live'' way.

Ok, I'll keep this simple. Julia entered the room first, where she got speeded up. As Max was going through the connecting tunnel in-between rooms, he could see her walking around the room reallyreallyreallyfast. Once he entered the room, they were both moving really fast TO AN OUTSIDE OBSERVER, but their perception of the passage of time was that they were moving at normal speed. The scene in which they died only took under a minute for us to see (as outside observers), but, from their perspective, it probably took hours.
